William A. Porter, Jr.
William A. Porter, Jr. began his duties as superintendent of Sioux County High School on July 1, 2004. He is a native of the Sioux City, Iowa, area. After high school, Mr. Porter joined the U.S. Navy and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He then went to college and obtain a teaching degree in elementary education. He taught in South Dakota and Saint Mary's School in O'Neill before going on to Maxwell where he spent 17 years teaching and coaching. The last four years Mr. Porter has served as principal at Hyannis High School.
Mr. Porter and his wife, Veronica, have been married for 35 years. They have four grown children and eight grandchildren.
